Best Practice: Olaplex works well with bleach, but you still need to check the integrity of the hair.
Good judgement is still required.
IMPORTANT: IF YOU WOULD NOT APPLY BLEACH WITHOUT OLAPLEX DO NOT APPLY BLEACH
WITH OLAPLEX. IF IN DOUBT, WE WOULD RECOMMEND DOING THE SUPER SERVICE FIRST
TO BUILD UP THE INTEGRITY OF THE HAIR AND CARRYING OUT A STRAND TEST.
Whenever you use Olaplex N°1, you always need to use Olaplex N°2: except when perming. For
use with perms, keratin treatments and relaxers, visit: www.olaplex.co.uk/faq/.
NOTE: The amount of Olaplex used depends on the quantity of bleach being used, not the
amount of both developer and bleach combined.
STEP 1 Mix bleach and developer thoroughly before adding Olaplex N°1.
STEP 2 For 30-60g (1-2oz) of Bleach/Lightener Powder, add 3.75ml (1/8oz) of Olaplex N°1.
You can add more bleach powder after mixing to thicken your consistency if required.
If using more than 60g (2oz) of Bleach/Lightener Powder, mix a fresh bowl of your
desired bleach amount with Olaplex N°1 to maintain consistent mixing ratios.
For less than 30g (1oz) of Bleach/Lightener Powder add 1.875ml (1/16oz) of Olaplex
N°1. You can add more bleach powder after mixing to thicken your consistency if
WHAT NEXT: Once your bleach has developed to your desired level of colour, DO NOT SHAMPOO.
STEP 3 Thoroughly rinse the hair to remove all traces of bleach and towel dry.
STEP 4 Apply 5ml to 10ml (1-2 teaspoons) of Olaplex N°2 to short to medium hair. For longer
hair, apply 10ml to 15ml (2-3 teaspoons) of Olaplex N°2.
Comb through once. Leave on for a minimum of 10 minutes; longer for damaged hair.
STEP 5 If you are NOT applying a TONER, rinse, shampoo, and apply any in-salon conditioner
or treatment as required. If you are applying a TONER please continue to the section
‘OLAPLEX WITH TONERS’.
